STRESSED ABOUT IT // WENT WEST ABOUT IT

Itโ€™s been a minute.

Most of you can agree, Iโ€™m sure this by far has been one of the hardest years for us all. If youโ€™re like me CHANGE and the feeling of HELPLESSNESS create copious amounts of anxiety. COVID rocked our world; PROTESTS screamed across the world, but are not being heard, and a lot of us are learning how to adapt to this not so normal world we live in today. Some lost our loved ones, some have been quarantined with our thoughts, drank way too much, and our mental healthโ€™s depleted. Feelings of guilt washing over every post I do on Instagram, how can we enjoy our lives when so many are hurting? How have you been coping?

As some may know I moved out of NYC almost a year and a half ago, and moved to New Hampshire. Where I found and lost love, got to experience the beauty of its nature, and learned so much about myself. Being such a social person It was hard not knowing anyone, and trying to make new friends during a pandemic is near impossible. If I can say something positive about quarantining during COVID, was it allowed me to stop and think. About myself, my mental health, the way I treat others, my unreliability, the way I try to perceive myself to othersโ€ฆ and just the World we live in general. I feel mental health has always been such a taboo topic to talk about. Or for me the hardest to accept. Iโ€™ve learned Iโ€™m far from perfect, Iโ€™m 27, and still learning new perspectives everyday. Iโ€™ve realized anger has always been my go-to emotion in moments of anxiety, or disappointment, or even hurt. We all make mistakes, we all hurt the people we love, but we are not our past and our past doesnโ€™t define us. Whatโ€™s your go-to emotion?

Life is about the journey not the destination.

Now to the future, WHO THE HELL KNOWS ha. But, after 7 years in NYC, 1 year in NH, and basically my whole life on the east coast, Korra and this guy is planning on taking over the West Coast. Iโ€™m both sad and excited. Sad to leave my family and New York friends, especially my rock Shoshana. BUT, V excited to be surrounded by my West Coast chosen family, close friends that love me for me and share the creativity my heart has to give. I know moving during a Pandemic sounds crazy, but for me itโ€™s the only option. This is exactly what the Universe has aligned for me. Any tips for surviving the West Coast?

Creating content and doing photoshoots has always been a type of therapy for me, so this shoot was one in a really long time, and to do it with my good friend THEEDGYHIPPYCHILD made it that much more special.

Hope you enjoy, stay safe WEAR YOUR MASKS,
